The John Terry Rap

feature photo

Once in a while two things meet in perfect harmony that really shouldn’t – like Balti and the traditional pie – but they just work. I’d have never thought that John Terry and the hip hop world would ever meet, but thanks to the former England captain’s indiscretions off the pitch and UK rapper Stylah’s sense of humour they have.

Stylah has definitely joined ‘Team Wayne’, or perhaps team Weezy as he might call it, and delivers a witty condemnation of the cheating Chelsea captains morally bereft behaviour on his new track John Terry. Written from the perspective of a broken-hearted Mr. Bridge. There are plenty of choice lyrics, such as:

“you’re at my door when you see me leave, even bought my daughter DVD’s,

who would’ve thought you was the one I trusted, until I saw your face in the papers – busted!”

As Stylah, or perhaps his lawyer, is very quick to point out these lyrics do “not necessarily represent the true beliefs of Wayne Bridge or the facts about John Terry’s affair with his ex,” but they are very funny.
