Premier League fixtures 09/10 season

The new Premiership fixtures have been released today by the FA and as usual there are some interesting fixtures and run ins for the big four. The season starts on August 15th and finishes on May 9th which is 2 weeks earlier than last season in order to allow players to prepare for the world cup. On the opening day Manchester United have the easiest fixture hosting newly promoted Birmingham, whilst Chelsea welcome Hull City to Stamford bridge for Carlo Ancelotti’s  debut. In the pick of the first weekend games Merseyside meets North London in a double header as Arsenal travel to Everton and Tottenham entertain Liverpool.

The first clash between the top 4 occurs when Manchester United entertain Arsenal on the 29th of August but the next clash of the titans is not untill the 3rd of October when Chelsea welcome the Liverpool team that ended their unbeaten record last season. Chelsea look to have the toughest run in meeting Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham in their last 6 games and Man United rather dubiously start and finish the season at Old Trafford.
