New Liverpool kit pictures 08/09

A close up picture of the new Liverpool home kit for the 2008/09 season has surfaced on the internet and you can get a much better look at the latest jersey. Plenty of mock ups have been doing the rounds but this is the first clear picture of the new top and it is noticeable a lot of white has been removed from the previous kit once again bringing the kit closer to the all red strips pioneered by Bill Shankly in the 1960’s.

There’s no official date for the release but it will definitely be a couple of months at least. There hasn’t been any official photos or adverts put out yet and it’d be about a month after the pics come out.
Adidas work on a team by team basis rather than release all the new kits at once, in the past the liverpool kits have come out as late as july. The chelsea kit is released 8th of may so i’d doubt they’d want to promote both at the same time, so perhaps june at the earliest, but as soon as we know for definite i’ll put up a post.

Mikey who posted above thinks it will be 22nd of may, that and the 25th of may are the only dates i’ve read but they both were on LFC forums and had no sources to confirm them.
I think right now Rick Parry will be hoping it comes out this week so he can improve the commercial performance of the club!
As soon as the club release an officila date though i’ll post it up
