Actually, you Britishers should be knowing that Ajax took their kit design from a team they against played in a friendly when they first began.
The team they played was called Lower Gornal Athletic and they wore the now famously Ajax kit. Ajax saw the kit and said we are liking that much. They had originally thought of adapting the pink and baby blue of Arston Veela as they sent the club a kit as a present, but they couldn’t be understand why the socks were all having 6 toes in them.
They also thought the colours of the Veela kit were a bit, as you Britishers say, poncy and made the players look like young men who sell their bottoms in Lozells area of Birmingham.
So there you are. The truth is our mightily Ajax stole their kit design from a Britisher team to begin with.

Hang on a minute, who says that the idea is to copy Ajax? If you look at the current home strip you will see it is the same design in white and blue and the colours of the away kit are red and white. I think most people on here are making a mountain out of a molehill…
Juventus originally took their strip from an English club called Notts County, a practice that was not uncommon once upon a time. Ajax are a great club who deserve a lot of respect, so if there was even the slightest intention to emulate them shouldn’t Ajax fans take it as a compliment?
I suppose the anonymity of the internet helps the irrational to vent without fear fo reprisals. It’s a shame that so many choose to do so.

Actually, you Britishers should be knowing that Ajax took their kit design from a team they against played in a friendly when they first began.
The team they played was called Lower Gornal Athletic and they wore the now famously Ajax kit. Ajax saw the kit and said we are liking that much. They had originally thought of adapting the pink and baby blue of Arston Veela as they sent the club a kit as a present, but they couldn’t be understand why the socks were all having 6 toes in them.
They also thought the colours of the Veela kit were a bit, as you Britishers say, poncy and made the players look like young men who sell their bottoms in Lozells area of Birmingham.
So there you are. The truth is our mightily Ajax stole their kit design from a Britisher team to begin with.

Hi Ajax fans, i’m a Villa fan and I beg you not to judge us Englishmen/English footie fans based on the SCUM that is Birmingham City. Their fans are terrible, their players are terrible, their stadium is terrible and now their kit is a terrible copy of a frankly awesome kit for an awesome team.
Incidently, I was in Amsterdam in March watching a Stereophonics gig at the HMH. Went past the stadium on the train, truly awesome place!
