
Delia Smith is a famous TV chef and author and majority shareholder of Norwich city football club. She rose to prominence in the earyl 70’s as presenter on a BBC cookery show and never looked back making a number of succesful cookery TV series and writing a Library of cookbooks. She has also written a number of religious books.
Smith bought a majority shareholding in Norwich City in 1996 and immediately she took a position on the board with her husband Michael Wynn-Jones. She is most famous for her pitch invasion at half time of the premiership game between Norwich and Man City in February 2005. A drunken Delia strode onto the pitch and commandeered he microphone from the stadium announcer and berated her own fans:
‘A message for the best football supporters in the world: we need a 12th man here. Where are you? Where are you? Let’s be having you, Come on.’
