Fulham have completed deals for West Ham duo Bobby Zamora and John Pantsil for a combined fee of £6.3m.  Both players were brought to the east end club by former manager Alan Pardew but have fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of new manager Alan Curbishley and his subsequent spending spree.

27 year old Ghanian international Pantsil was spotted playing in the 2006 World cup where he courted controversy by producing an Israeli flag from his socks when celebrating victory causing widespread condemnation in his home country. The then West Ham midfielder Yossi Benayoun reccommended Pantsil to the club after playing against him in the Israeli league, but controversy once again courted the Ghanian after he claimed his correct name was ‘Paintsil’ but West Ham refuted this and revealed Pantsil as the name on his passport.

Zamora a former Tottenham striker who had been a prolific scorer in the Championship had failed to recreate that form in his first stint in the Premier League at White Hart Lane but on his return with West Ham he looked to have found his feet. He began the 2006/07 season in devastating form scoring 5 times in the first 4 games making him the leagues top scorer but the arrival of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano disrupted the team unity at West Ham as they slipped into the relegation places and Zamora failed to score for 3 months. Since the arrival of Carlton Cole, Dean Ashton and Craig Bellamy chances have been limited for Zamora who will now hope to fill the boots of popular Cottager Brian McBride.
