Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Justin Hoyte from Arsenal this afternoon. The 23 year old former England U21 international has agreed a 4 year contract at the Riverside after the clubs agreed a £2.5m fee earlier in the week. Hoyte’s arrival marks a good piece of business for Middlesbrough after they sold Luke Young for £5m to Aston Villa and replaced him with arguably a better player who is 5 years younger and at half the cost. Hoyte made 34 appearances for Arsenal mainly in the Carling Cup and looked to be working his way into the Arsenal team but as always with Arsene Wenger the the English youngster was frozen out by the arrival of Wengers french compatriot Bacary Sagna.
