Collymore is a Football agent who has been shrouded in controversy due to allegations of illegal approaches to clubs and illegal payments to  managers.

Collymore famously threatend to sue Mike Newell over allegations that he offered the then Luton Town manager a bung. The FA later charged him with player touting following on from information given to them by Mike Newell. He was caught on camera later the same year saying “There’s managers out there who take bungs all day long” going on to name names in the BBC panorama undercover documentary.

He is an outspoken critic of media portrayal of football agents;

“It really disappoints me when I hear people saying that money paid to agents is going out of the game. We are part of football and are here to provide a service to clubs and players.”
