3 Papers 3 Rumours
Three different newspapers are claiming the big scoops on 3 transfers that they claim have already been completed. The Daily Mirror is claiming that Didier Drogba has agreed a 3 year deal with AC Milan but perhaps its so much of an exclusive that nobody told Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti:
“Does Didier Drogba have a deal with Milan? It’s all rubbish.”
Next up The Sun tells us that Hatem Ben Arfa has put pen to paper on an Arsenal contract and will set the north london side back a cool £20m, yet again no source for the story or even quote from either party but the Sun is still claiming another exclusive on this deal. Ironically Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has spoken in the press before of his admiration of the young frenchman, but this week slammed Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon for espousing his admiration of Cesc Fabregas. Finally Portuguese paper Ojogo says a deal has been completed to take Porto right back Jose Bosingwa to Chelsea with a fee in the region of £20m being agreed under the noses of Premiership rivals Manchester United. None of these deals have been officially completed and no comment has been made by any of the clubs involved but the papers still run these ‘exclusives’ long before they know for sure if the players will move, raising fans expectations and unsettling players.
